Beach House Yacht Club – Roof Repair

April 14th, 2012 . by Webmaster

In April of 2012, Beach House Yacht Club in Surf City, North Carolina, hired Roof & Rack Products, Inc to do minor repairs to their partially enclosed boat rack storage facilities.  Due to extremely heavy winds during a particular storm, Beach House Yacht Club was left with minor roof damage.  Needing to repair and replace the damaged roof panels as soon as possible, Roof & Rack Products, Inc sent their construction crew up to Surf City to get the job finished in little to no time.  Approximately 9,100 square feet of roof sheeting were used to replace the missing and damaged roof panels.  Along with the roof panels, they also had to take down and replace multiple purlins, gutters and down spouts.

Whether your marina needs minor or major repairs, contracting Roof & Rack Products, Inc for the job will ensure you that we will not only finish the job 100% to your liking but will also hustle to make sure it is finished with no delay.

Harbor Cove Marina – Roof Replacement & Rack Replacement

April 13th, 2012 . by Webmaster

Harbor Cove Marina in Deale, Maryland, a previous and loyal customer contracted Roof & Rack Products, Inc for two purposes.  First, Roof and Rack Products, Inc was hired to remove and replace 20,250 square feet of roof panels along with all of the purlins, trim, gutters and downspouts to their drystorage building.  Second, following the roof replacement, Roof & Rack Products, Inc removed their non-performing older 90 degree racks and replaced them with hot dipped galvanized angled boat racks that accept today’s longer and heavier boats.

Many older marinas throughout the country that have narrow indoor storage facilities are seeing the need to revamp their boat racks to meet today’s boating market.  If this pertains to your marina, it only takes one phone call to see how Roof & Rack Products, Inc can help keep your marina up to date with your target market.

April 11th, 2012 . by Webmaster

Throughout 2011, Roof & Rack Products, Inc has helped several marinas overcome problems they have encountered, whether it is big or small.  But in many cases these nuisances could have been avoided if their drystorage building and/or boat racks were inspected by professionals who can identify the possible threats long before it ever becomes an inconvenience or worse.  Both St. James Plantation Marina in Southport, NC and Port St. Joe Marina in Port St. Joe, FL contracted Roof & Rack Products, Inc to do a 10-year inspection report of their buildings which have survived and overcome several hurricanes over the past years.

In the 10-year inspection report, Roof & Rack Products, Inc thoroughly checks all of the standard components such as wind bracing, doors, wall panels, roof sheeting, hardware, etc to make sure that all of the components are in compliance with their code requirements.  Having Roof & Rack Products, Inc perform a 10-year inspection report to your marina could make all the difference on how your building and/or racks hold up during your next major storm.  Is it time to have your system checked?

EUROMARINA Review

April 10th, 2012 . by Webmaster

Since its launch in 2003, EUROMARINA Review has been the source for many European boaters and businesses in the marine industry for issues related to marine management, marina equipment and services, maintenance, as well as environmental and operational regulations.  Not only does EUROMARINA Review cover several topics which help guide and educate those in the marine industry, but they also serve as a tool to network boaters with marinas.

In issue 8-5 of 2011, Roof and Rack Products, Inc broke new barriers when United Kingdom’s newest and largest dry storage facility located at Trafalgar Wharf was publicized in EUROMARINA Review.  Located in Portsmouth, United Kingdom, Trafalgar Wharf’s owners contracted Roof & Rack Products, Inc to design, engineer, fabricate, and deliver multiple sets of boat racks which were installed into a pre-existing storage barn, just off of the English Channel.  Once installed, Trafalgar Wharf became the first and only drystack marina in the area, offering rack storage for 160 boats up to 39 feet in length and 20,000 lb capacity.  Already offering a boatyard and shipyard along with a maintenance and service area for their customers, Trafalgar Wharf’s boat rack storage building is the icing 0n the cake for boaters in Portsmouth, United Kingdom.

Miami Boat Show 2012

April 9th, 2012 . by Webmaster

The Miami Boat Show is one of the best trade shows of the year for Roof & Rack Products, Inc that really tests the waters for how the rest of the year will be in the marine industry.  Unlike the past couple of years which have shown signs of a consumer withdraw from our industry, this year proved to be quite different.  We experienced a larger volume of traffic in comparison to previous years.  People from all over the country and throughout the world stopped by Roof & Rack’s booth with genuine interest in building/upgrading their marinas in the near future.  This sign of returning life has sparked great confidence within ourselves as well as others and hopefully indicates that the industry is turning around.

All Seasons Marine Works

April 8th, 2012 . by Webmaster

In November of last year, Roof & Rack Products, Inc delivered our “portable” boat racks to All Seasons Marine Works in Westport, Connecticut.  All Seasons, who primarily specialize in new and used boat sales as well as boat servicing saw the need for adding “portable” boat racks to store boats that need service.  Once the racks were installed and numerous boats were now temporarily stored off of the ground, All Seasons had more allowable work space for their customers, which in turn produces more income for the marina.  All Seasons Marine Works is a great choice for any boater in the Westport area who looking to buy a new or used boat as well getting their boat serviced.

If your marina aims to help maintain and service customer’s boats, “portable” boat racks may be the key to increasing your revenue at your marina.

Tropical Marine

April 7th, 2012 . by Webmaster

On the beautiful island of St. Thomas in United States’ Virgin Islands, Roof & Rack Products, Inc had the pleasure of working with Tropical Marine, a customer for over 20 years and supplied them with two additional “portable” boat rack storage systems.  Their new portable racks can store boats on two levels, up to 30 feet in length and maximum capacity of 15,000 pounds.  The versatility of Roof & Rack Products, Inc “portable” racks are one of the key reasons why marinas look to purchase them.  These particular boat rack systems do not require much time and effort to assemble and dis-assemble, which works perfect with locations that are limited on workable space.
